Literacy Through Dictionaries has the goal of giving dictionaries to children.

Too often children are not allowed the basics in life to succeed in education.  Federal and state budget cuts in education has only matched the higher expectations for our schools to prepare our children for a better future.  Yet, in most backpacks, in most households the child does not have the most basic of materials.  We cannot stop poverty in one motion, but we can give children a dictionary. 

Literacy Through Dictionaries invites you to help bring literacy to those children who will find new worlds and opportunities in reading.

Please send new or used dictionaries in good condition to Literacy Through Dictionaries. 

We will place the student's name in the dictionary along with your name as the donor of the dictionary.

Donations will be made to students in Ventura County, California.  If you wish to distribute dictionaries in your community please contact Literacy Through Dictionaries.
